So when I import my 3000+ small clips which I will create a several day
timelapse, movie maker creates one clip to one collection, which causes
2minutes of work to be 2 days of work because I need to click over 10 000
times with mouse and do dragging, which will destroy my wrist.

I wan't to get all clips imported into single collection, certainly this
should be possible, I decide how my clips are imported, not some piece of
software.

But so far I have not figured out how to do it, I believe someone has done
this?

What is the format of these clips?

Thank you from your reply.

Format is any I make it to be.

Originally they are .flv but I batch converted them to be .avi Mpeg-1 as
they needed to be Movie Maker supported format.

Does different format cause different behaviour when importing clips to
collection?

The sheer number of clips you are using could
cause system resource issues but the format is
not the reason for the individual folders...that is
normal.

My thought was that you might use a Joiner
utility to join the clips and then import them as
a single file. If joining all is not a workable task...
at least you could combine them in groups.

Maybe the following freebie would be worth a try:

Kate's Video Joiner (Free)

Good luck.

If you have access to a Vista system, MM6 imports them into a single
collection folder.
