I need new bios for m748lmrt

anyone have a new bios for m748lmrt??? I need a new bios for large hard disk
support

I have no idea what a "m748lmrt" is. Is that like the boards chipset, model number, what? Where
are you getting that number?

Further, I highly doubt you need to upgrade the BIOS. What kind of drive is it? For example, if
it's a Maxtor you just need to go and download the Maxblast setup disk, it'll install a kind of BIOS
emulator that'll allow your operating system to see the full size.

It's a PC Chips "All in one" mainboard...(from memory). Might also show up
as ECS or some other cheap makers.

It's a older board, prolly pre-Tautulin.

Try Google with the mainboard number and you should be able to find the
manufacturers site to get a BIOS update (if there is one)

If the bios available on PCChip's website doesn't work (might only support
up to 128GB) then add a PCI IDE controller card. I am assuming by "large
hard disk support" you mean 48bit LBA, drives over 128GB.

From what I recall of those boards they were horrendously slow even for
their era, even compared to other board-chipsets with integrated video...
you might consider replacing the board or an entire board/CPU/memory
upgrade.

I install new bios from PCCHIPS website and i can't start my 40GB Seagate
HDD i don't know where is the problem??? Bios responde HDD but few sec after
responding my computer goes to stand by!!!
If any one know where is the problem plase HELP!!!

PS:I emailed to eSupport.com for new version of bios for my board and thay
email me that "We have the brand new AMI BIOS for your motherboard. The
price is only $24.95 (U.S)." but i don't have credit card to pay this!!!
if anyone know for this eSupport please answer me : "Is this site make new
bios for old motherboards?"
