Whilst it may not be related, I recently had significant problems downloading
some driver updates from the HP website.
I had a suggestion that the problem may have resulted from the
overenthusiastic efforts of my Firewall (McAfee) in blocking the
transmissions. Having duly disabled McAfee for the purposes of the specific
download - success.
Also possible that there may a problem in your Registry - but this is beyond
me technically.
