I need help!!

I'm sorry to write this again, as I got some help and
still don't know what I am doing. Here is the problem

I had windows professional on computer. Bought a lap top
that had Home XP. Sooo...cause I liked how it operated,
I downloaded that on my other computer that we use in the
office. I answered the questions, however, did not back
up anything.

Once it downloaded, I could not pull up my old files. I
had Perfect works, word perfect, excel, etc. Now when I
go to get them, I can't use it. I think I might have
deleted a user that had these associated to that name.

Sooo, I then went out and bought Professional XP and
downloaded it over the home edition on the office
computer. I still can not get any of the old documents.
I also can't get the word processor programs or excel to
work. My questions are these:
1) Does Professional XP have excel, word, etc on it? If
so, have I not correctly downloaded the xp?
2) Have I really screwed up my old files. I can see they
are listed under oldpc but I can not find the setup disks
for the word, excel, etc, cause they came with
Professional.

What can I do? Does this make sense? Your help is
appreciated! Michael
