well, my last problem is still unsolved, and i need a
little more help.

PROBLEM: I have windows ME (won't even start up) and
windows 2000 server (evaluation ver.) duel-booting on the
tiny hard drive I have on my laptop. I need to reformat
the drive, get rid of the 2 partitions, and have just I
with windows 2000 pro on it.

Alright, now for the problem: I have no cd-rom drive for
it, so therefore i cant install windows! I have an
external cd-rw drive which is USB, and when i run setup,
the drive isnt detected. It says i need a file
named 'txtsetup.oem' in order to be able to use the cd-rw
drive to install windows 2000. Ive already tried the
driver disk, but no such file. tried searching my
computer, and google. how do i get this to work??

any help is greatly appreciated!

Go back to your original thread about this issue. The solutions have been
given to you. If your experience is limited, and we all started off in the
same way, find a friendly tech who is willing to solve the problem and
teach you at the same time. Myself, I would swap in an ATAPI-IDE
bootable cdrom drive, have the system bios autodetect it and proceed.
