Hi all

Im trying to find drivers for win 98se for an intel Pentium 4
"D915GAG/D915PSY" mobo

In the manual it says its operating systems are XP and 2000 but not 98se.

Is there a way to make it run 98se? I found a bios update for 98se but I
cant find any drivers for the chipset or any others, can someone please help
find them for me!

Should I even wast my time looking for them or will 98se run without them?

Also I want to run a PCIE 3d card with 98se - is this ok?

Regards
GK

I didn't know you want to play old games... :)

BUT, WINE or Cedega might do the trick. I have never tried them myself.

I have many old games to get working, thanks but I know all about dosbox its
a good progie for old pc games but im having trouble running rouge spear on
my XP home machine - its a quad core 2.88MHz, I dont know how to get this
game to run besids using a pc with win 98se and ive tried everything from
compatibility mode to dosbox to VDMsound. I need a second pc for old games
ie Riven as the monitor im curently using is to big for riven (its a wide
screen) and the game screen on it is too small with big black boarders. I
spose I'll make a pc from what Ive got here but use an AGP card instead of a
PCIE and run 98se on it.

Thanks

And be honest, who gives a toss about which version of Ubuntu you're running
or how long your PC has been turned on?

I've almost always managed to find 98 drivers eventually. Sometimes
from the mfr, sometimes unknown 3rd party ones from god knows where
online. Occasionally even drivers intended for win95 or 3.1, or
generic drivers not intended for that particular hardware model.

And I've ran hardware without drivers till I've found them, the
machines still worked, either not as well, or one specific item
woudlnt function at all.

Also I want to run a PCIE 3d card with 98se - is this ok?

can you find 98 drivers for it? 98 was designed before AGP came out,
but I've used AGP cards with manufacturer drivers just fine.

So far I've found there's always one device on sale new that will do
98, but its often as good to buy used.
