I need help with two videos

Hi there! I have two videos, one is AVI and the other is MPEG, but when i
use GSpot, they appear as ASF videos. I don't know how it's possible. Some
programs, like RealOne, can't play this two videos. I need a program to
convert the videos back to the original format (ASF). Does anyone know how i
do that?
 
first make sure that windows xp is displaying the file
extensions after the file name. if these files were say
downloaded off kazaa or a program like it they are offered
renamed. so first try going to My computer>>Tools>>Folder
Opitions>>"View Trab"-UnCheck "Hide Known File
Extensitions.
