how come with all the web pages microsoft has its still a
big pain in the butt to find and or understand most of the
crap they post?

i have two questions regarding windows xp explorer's search
first anyone know how to get search results to not include
files inside i zipps? if i wanted to find all animated
cursors then copy them to a location i would search for *.ani
then when i get results cntrl-a to select all and copy them
to a location and copy should work even if the file is
bieng used and becuase xp shows file inside archives it
just errors until i go through my results and un highlite
the files from archives
if you think that sucks imaging trying to organize zips
with search and there are achives zipped in archives!

also i wonder is there option the can find empty folders?
(directorys) id love to be able to find folders by size!

Stop Search from Scanning ZIP files:

Un-register the zip and cab file dlls, then re-register them after that. Go
to Start/Run and type in:

Before Search:
regsvr32 /u zipfldr.dll
regsvr32 /u cabview.dll

After Search:
regsvr32 zipfldr.dll
regsvr32 cabview.dll

Start/Search: What size is it?
