I NEED HELP PLEASE WITH MY COUNTER STRIKE GAME

I have counter strike source and it was working fine until steam did this
update and my anti virus software had to approve steam again and now when i
try to open cs it opens to a black screen for five seconds then quits out and
goes back to my desktop. WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN AND HOW DO I FIX IT??!!!!!
