I need help eliminating VirtuMonde.B

I was going to use the "Search" feature, but I guess that
it's not working.

I am trying to eliminate adware from my PC. The
Microsoft Anti-spyware program detects the VirtuMonde.B
program and allows me to remove it, but every time I
restart the computer, the program re-appears.

Any ideas?

Sorry if this has been discussed before - I read through
a few pages and didn't see any posts that described this
problem.

Hi Try this:

Download both of these fix tools and run the trojan
remover first then the adware remover, If you can after
downloading these disconnect your pc from the internet or
network untill the clean up is complete:


Trojan Vundo remover :

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/FixVundo.exe

Adware Vundo Remover :

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/FxVMonde.exe

Download Ccleaner

http://www.ccleaner.com/ccdownload.asp


Close all open programs and run both fix tools then if
files are found reboot the pc after they are complete and
run them again to make sure they then show clear the
second time then Ccleaner to remove temp files from your
system.

If this comes back then reboot into safe mode (Reboot and
keep tapping F8 then choose safe mode from the list)

Run the fix tools again , Run MS Antispy on a full system
scan then Run Ccleaner again to clear temp and unused
files.

Let us know if you still have problems then we can try
other tools .

No Problem

Let us know how it goes, I made a slight mistake in the
post Its trojan Vundo Remover then Adaware VirtuMonde
remover but Im sure you knew what I meant ;)

It took about two hours of time, but it looks like I have
finally removed the Virtumonde.B program.

I still made a error describing the tools by
saying "Adaware" Virtumonde remover ;),
