I have had office 2000 for several years and never had a reason to use
powerpoint until now. It is a requiremement for assignments from now forward.
I have no idea how to use it or make presentations and cannot find a tutorial
loaded up with it. I opened it up and tried playing with it a little and then
could not close it down without holding the computer's on/off button to shut
the whole system down. I know that wasnt the right method but, it surely
baffled me how to make it all work.
HELP!

Does it not close when you:

- Choose File, Exit
- Click the X box in the upper right corner of the PPT window

If not, start it up, choose Help, Detect and Repair and let that run to
completion; you may need your Office installation CD.

If you type PowerPoint or PowerPoint help into google, you should get links to
various tutorials and help information.

I can't remember if this tutorial is for version 97 or 2000, but they are
both very similar so it should help:

Just beware that a lot of features changed after 2000 so if you find a
tutorial for a newer version, you might be a bit confused.
