Okay I got one more question, I know it has been asked before, but so
profesionally I couldnt understand, I tried adding a sound but it asked me
that it strictly be a WAV file, is there a posibility in this world u can add
an MP3 to play throughout the slide presentation, I dont want anything fancy
just that the music plays as long as the slide does....please help me, and if
you know the awnser explain as if I was a 10yr old approx. (a not so smart
10yr old)

Sounds like you are trying to add a sound to a transition.

Read here for adding mp3 files as a transiton (see method 2)
http://www.technologytrish.co.uk/pptemailmusic.html
Once you've added a riffwav header to your mp3 you can add it as a
transition sound or with insert >movies and sounds > sounds from file (see
method 1)
To make it play for the whole slide see here (answer 2) but click "stop
playing after 1 slide"

Hello,
You can add an MP3 (but it won't be embedded unless you convert it to a
RIFF). You can however LINK an MP3. To make it play accross multiple slides
go into your animation settings (must have the MP3 selected) and set the
number of slides through which you want the sound to play.

Let me know if you need more information on how to adjust your animation
settings.

Pardon me for butting in but I too am having difficulties adding music.
Where is animation settings located? I couldn't find it anywhere.

After adding the sound, rightclick the sound's icon and choose Custom Animation

You'll see the sound listed in the animation pane and next to it a downward pointing
arrowhead; click that and choose Timing

On the resulting Play Sound dialog box that appears, click the Effect tab.

Set the number of slides under "Stop playing" next to "After ____ Slides"

Sandy,
Where in powerpoint does it state Animation settings and MP3 to select? I
have yet to find it. This is getting extremely frustrating to create a
slideshow with music/sound.

Steve,
What if I'm unable to add any sound? Since MP3 is not usable in powerpoint,
is there a simple way to convert the mp3 w/a simple program?

That's a bit too broadly stated. MP3s are usable but not embeddable; they can only be
linked.

Audacity should be able to do it, I expect. Google should turn up the link to it on
sourceforge.net
