Hi

Can you create a manual restore point and restore your system from that? Have you got more than 200mb free space on your hard disk/partition?

Hi

Can you restore your system using the manual SR point? If so, it eliminates possible problems.

Hi

I'm not sure that you understand what I am trying to achieve. I would like to know if, after you have created a manual SR point, you can then use that SR point to restore your PC. All I would like to know is if a manual SR points works. If it does, certain problems with SR are then ruled out and then the 'real' problem can be determined.

Hi

As I said before, Mcafee has a lot to answer for. Please contact ASAP, as I don't know how their virus algorithms work.

There is no date = there is no restore file.

Since there is no file you can not restore to point in time that no longer exists.

I.E. you are SOL.

If there are no dates in your System Restore then you obviously cannot
restore to an earlier date. There are no "hidden" restore dates created.
