How do I regain access without knowing my password? I know enough about my
laptop for home use to be dangerous which is why I mistakenly deleted
access--I thought I was just removing the requirement to log into windows. I
cannot remember my password. Help!

What did you do?
Be as precise as you can recall - tell us a story.

All sorts of advice could be given to you right now. Log in as another
administrator, log in as the administrator in Safe Mode, hack the
administrator password and log in as the administrator in Safe mode, hack
your password and log in with the changed password, etc and so on...

Right now we know you have Windows XP Home Edition (what Service Pack
level?) and you thought you were 'removing the requirement to log into
windows'... What does that mean?

And what does "deleted access" mean? Was a sledgehammer involved?
