Hi...
I took a PC out from its original domain (for which I dont
have a physical connection any more) and all accounts from
that domain are now "unknown" but they local profile
directories remain. As I needed the information from one
of them I created a new "Local User" and redirected its
profile to the "unknown" account directory and it seems to
work, how ever it takes too long to login (loading
settings).
I will be able to re-insert the PC to its original domain,
(later on) and I was wondering if it will automatically
recognize the "unknown" accounts, but more important if
the copied account will have any problem because its
profile directory its shared between two accounts (the
currently unknown account and the local one)?
Im planning to erase the local user before re-inserting
the PC to the domain, however I can't afford to lose any
information (specially my .PST files)... Does anyone have
any suggestions...? How can I decrease the time it takes
for the profile to load right now?
Thansk for any help you may provide...
