I`m just seeing negative stuff about 3.9 - Some have installed them successfully and happily??

Can't decide if I should go from 3.8 to 3.9. (I normally like to have
the latest drivers installed). So far, I had no problems going from
3.5 to 3.6 to... etc.

However, I've seen some pretty bad stories about the 3.9 in this NG.
Are these posts coming from a minority? Would like to hear from those
who have installed the 3.9 without a glitch and are relatively happy
with them (meaning not worse than 3.8 or possibly better).

Cheers! Melandre

Call of Duty crashed on me, so I have just gone back to 3.7.

3.8 was a bust for many people too. I'm sticking with 3.7 until I hear
good things about some set of new drivers. Maybe next version if we
get lucky.

Running 3.9 on a 9800Pro.

Kick ass.... =)
Everything runs smooth, and no problems with COD. The "feeling" is better
with these than with 3.8.....

If-it-ain't-broke-don't-fix-it.....

Seconded. I'm still on the 3.7 and have no intention of upgrading
until/unless I see a specific change in the release notes that is
applicable. I only moved up from 3.4 because I was having some Jedi
Academy glitches and the game's readme stated that the game was tested
with 3.6. Since that was incentive to move up, I figured I'd take the
latest one and be done with it.

(Since then, I found it was a RAM problem and not a driver/vidcard
problem that was causing my JA/system difficulties. If I'd found that
first I'd probably still be on 3.4.)

The people who DON'T have problems usually don't post messages either...

ps. I'm using 3.9 and so far no problems of any kind (call of duty
including)

True, ppl tend to post less if not having problems...prolly cause to busy
playing hehe. To be honest I've not seen anywhere near the
complaints/problem posts that showed with 3.8's (yes I know some say the 3.8
things are not real but they are to at least some ppl) So far here installed
just fine and running fine as well then again I was also lucky and the 3.8's
worked fine for me as well.
