I don't post that often, and upgraded from Office 2000, to
Office 2002 - 2002 runs rock solid on Win 2000. My point
is this - I'd love to go out and buy Office 2003, and
especially Outlook 2003 - but I don't think all the
problems are worked out yet due to early release. Win XP
professional is the most stable system yet. I'd wait till
any Office 2003 fixes are posted. We all like that shiny
new toy .. but ....

Indead, what's your point?

Personally I expect no big problems at all as this BETA has had the most
testers ever! Also the BETA period has been extended with the Technical
Refresh to test provided feedback changes.

There always have been always will be fixes. Fixes can apply to the program
but fixes can also apply to support a new or adjusted program.

I'm confident that Office 2003 and especially Outlook 2003 was ready to go
live at the time Microsoft decided but whether or not you buy it is your
call.

My point - learn everything you can from Outlook 2002 -
then upgrade to 2003. Wait a while till things are
fixed. Office 2000 has 3 major fixes, which now can be
downloaded in a very short period of time - Office XP - a
few fixes that take longer to download (users have
requested a cd of all the fixes) - The longer Outlook 2003
is public - the better off it's going to be. But I'm not
an expert - and by the looks of the list - people has some
problems with Outlook 2003. Patience.

Sure, but how many problems do you expect to apply to you? Same counts for
everything in life. When you want to buy a computer you can wait a couple of
months and it will be cheaper but it will also be less up to date. When you
start using Outlook 2003 there could be a bigger chance to run in some
problems than when you wait for Outlook 2003 Servicepack 2. In the mean time
you will be using Outlook 2002 you miss out the great functionality of
Outlook 2003. Like I said before; it's your call, but the "Buy it now or
wait" question isn't limited to Outlook or even limited to computer related
stuff it is something you come accross every single day. So still, "what's
your point?"

Regards
