I lost my windows 2000 professional password

I lost the password that I assigned to one of my PC's. I
could not get pass the Windows 2000 Professional logon
screen. This is a stand alone machine that I have not used
for a while. It runs Windows 2000 Professional and I tried
to boot to "safe mode" but it still asks for the password.
Do you have any input?

You'll have to hack the security account database.

Unzip the file, burn the ISO (as image) to CD and boot with it - it's a
small Linux
distro.

This worked perfect.

Happened to have the same problem so was reading on this
