I just upgraded today from Win 98 to Win 2000 and the
process destroyed ALL of my saved E-mails, settings,
everything. Searched for the .dbx files and they are gone.
Spoke with a tech support guy at Microsoft forever and
they are gone.
They are gone. I hope yours are not. Mine might have been
destroyed because I had Norton running during the upgrade
as I did not realize this could kill files until AFTER it
was too late.
Search for your .dbx files on the drive. I can't seem to
get my backed up (far from all sadly; my bad) .dbx files
to load but I just don't have it in me to spend another
few hours on the phone with tech support today. I have
another 89 days after all (and a job to do; this is my
work computer).
