to lock the toolbars. All i see is:-----Original Message-----
Some possible solutions.
Close all instances of Internet Explorer except one
Right-click on the top Toolbar, uncheck: "Lock the Toolbars"
Place the cursor over the "Address" button and click (hold down)
It will change to a 4-way arrow, move or expand the Address Bar to desired
location
Right-click on the top Toolbar, check: "Lock the Toolbars"
Hold down the Ctrl key and close Internet Explorer.
Confirm these default Registry entries exist:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]
"Show_ToolBar"="yes"
"Show_URLinStatusBar"="yes"
"Show_URLToolBar"="yes"
In Internet Explorer Menu: Tools/Internet Options/Advanced tab
Scroll down half way to:
Search from the address bar...
When searching.... select a mode.
Click Apply.

Rename the file named "HOSTS" (without a file extension).-----Original Message-----
iSearch seem to make entries to HOSTS file as well.
frequently as and when new malware is discovered.Windows XP=C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
Windows 2K=C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
Win 98\ME=C:\WINDOWS
Just rename the HOSTS file to OLDHOSTS and try the remaining part of the advice.
