I lost Google.com !!!

I have been told I have been "invaded" by a program named ELITE. Now I
cannot access Google.com (and several other sites) and it seems I have some
kind of domain register automatically coming up on my browser (I did nothing
to prompt this). How do I remedy this? Be gentle, I am pretty much
computer illiterate.

I would suggest downloading the 2 programs Ad-aware 6.0 and spybot and
running them.
They are both free and have helped me very sufficiently with a similar
problem.
