Hey people.

I have two HD on my Windows 98, but when I upgraded to Windows 2000 Pro. I lost one of my main HD which have 9 GB, and I'm stuck with my second HD which is only 2GB. ANy way I can retrieve my 9GB HD back? when I try to open that HD, it said "DO you want to format it now?" so I press Yes.. Then it fomart that HD.. then restart.. when I'm I came back to my PC. It open up that 9GB HD. it still said the same message. "Do you want to format it now?"

Please show me how to get it back so I could put some of my datas on the HD.

Is this a laptop or desktop?
If desktop it sounds rather old, is yr bios updated?

You go to the mb manu.site and look for relevant updates.
You have to take great care in flashing the bios, do it wrong and you lose
the pc.
Its highly likely, considering the age of the sys, that you also are missing
w2k drivers for yr hardware.
You should visit visit yr sys. hardware sites to look for the updated
drivers. It may also be the case that yr hardware doesnt support w2k.
There is also the memory issue, you ought to be thinking of at least 128 for
w2k, yr sys may not support this.
Personally I would suggest a new sys, or at least a newer 2nd user, or
revert to w98
