First let me say that I am not trying to clutter the board
or say anything negative torwards Microsoft. The problem
is that I really need some help here.

I am still getting several of those fake securtiy emails.
I understand I am not supposed to load them and that it is
a virus. When I came in today I had almost 1000 of those
in my inbox. I have tried to set up filters but nothing
seems to keep them out. I have fully updated my machine
but I am still getting them. Nortons is now catching the
virus for the most part but I am still getting several
that are coming in.

What can I do to stop these from hitting my Exchange
Server. I have Exchange 5.5 and run Windows 2000 Server.
All workstations except for 1 laptop is running Windows
2000 pro. The laptop is XP Pro. We use ISA Firewall that
I am not that familiar with. I am the admin and I
seem to be the only one that is getting hit by these, in
the building.

Again I am not trying to clutter the board I am only
trying to protect myself and the company that I
administer. I also am aware that there is several post
about this already but I can't seem to find my answer. If
anyone can help me on this it would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks for all your help.

Your best bet is a SMTP gateway. All of the major AV vendors have one for a
reasonable price. Install it in-line and have it scan mail before it is
passed to your mail server.

In addition to the other suggestions, you might consider anti-spam
options for Exchange and/or the Outlook clients. You can front the
Exchange SMTP with any number of free or low cost SMTP servers to
handle SPAM removal as well.

Configure your email server to block or remove email that contains file attachments that are
commonly used to spread viruses, such as .vbs, .bat, .exe, .pif and .scr files.

Is this email coming in to you from an http email provider like hotmail ?

If no one else is getting virus mail than that maybe the case.
