I am trying to use the outlook, while I am connected to the internet. I am
able to send messages fine through my yahoo mail but I keep getting this
message when I try to send it through windows mail.

The host 'SMTP' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the
server name correctly.
Subject 'Status of my Expedited Passport. I am leaving in 13 days.',
Account: 'POP3', Server: 'SMTP', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No,
Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

The name of your outgoing (SMTP) server is incorrect.
Check with your ISP for the correct server name.

According to your headers, your ISP is AT&T (formerly SBC) in Los
Angeles, CA (or thereabouts). Go to AT&T's website and find the email
server settings. There will also be a "walkthrough" to show you how to
set up popular email programs. If they don't yet have a Windows Mail one
up, use the Outlook Express instructions.

If your ISP is indeed AT&T, you could start here:

You will have to call your Internet Service Provider (ISP)
or visit their online help page.
Wait, my crystal ball tells me that you have DSL service from your
phone company, so go here for the settings:

You can use the same directions they give for Outlook Express.
