Ok,
Here's the scenario, I sold my customer a notebook, an ACER with VISTA HOME
BASIC and she asked me to rollback it from VISTA to XP... we tried it and had
issues of drivers not working, like wireless adapter and modems.
So, we'd decided to roll it up back to VISTA HOME BASIC... and this error
keeps coming up. We even ordered the recovery CD's and nothing seems to work.
So, here's what I want to know in order to fix this. Should I remove the
drive, plug it into another computer or external box and format the drive
with a VISTA operating system to allow me to use the Recover CD's to restore
the computer?
Oh, before I ask that question, I do want to point out that I have
downloaded ACER's formatter ISO and created a CD, and did that as well... and
to no avail it still didn't work.
I do know that I did try installing my copy of "Ultimate" and it prompted me
to enter a product key (naturally I did this before the boot MGR missing
error came up... would I be able to use it again and try it? Or, is this a
ultity that should be used to restore everything back to normal?
I would appreicate any feedback you might have?
