Using Win7, Word 2010

I created a new folder and used the CTRL button to select docs to move
to it, moving them in a block. I did something wrong (who knows
what). I thought I dropped them into the new folder, but they
disappeared. I know they're somewhere, because I saw them momentarily
a little while later but they disappeared again. Can anyone give me a
clue as to how I can get them to show themselves?

Oh, I have another question: it looks like when I moved the
meta-folder from XP to W7 (or maybe it was when Norton Security Suite
backed up my system), all the individual documents became read only.
It's a real PITA to change them back one by one, so is there a way to
uncheck every "read only" box with just one command?

TIA

I found them by searching the next level up. Their path tells me they
are where I was looking for them before, but I still don't know why
they were hidden.

The answer is found in the Properties of the main folder. I unchecked
"read only" and that took care of all of the sub-folders and
documents.

I'm glad you were able to fix the issue. If you need further assistance, try
asking in a *Windows* group or forum. This one is for Word.

Sorry. I was dealing with Word, so that's why I asked here.
