I bought my windows xp with my new Dell computer last
March or April of 2002. I thought I was getting
automatic upgrades for my windows xp edition. This can
be a wrong assumption, but periodically I get a message
saying your current upgrade is waiting to be installed.

I have a Evision 123 camera and a Fujifilm Finepix A101.
The 1st camera works on my computer, but it does not show
up on my computer(under scanners and other). The
Fujifilm camera does not show up at all and I keep
getting messages that this is not recognized by my
windows wizard. I contacted the Fujifilm corp. and they
said the camera is set up to be recognized by the windows
wizard in XP. I do not want to damage anything, but when
the screen comes up asking for camera type the only
Fujifilm camera is entirely different number than mine.

If you can tell me:1) am I getting updates to program?
2) is there a fix or do I need to throw
both cameras away or possibly have
them damage my computer? Thanks, Chuck Burack

Have you been to the "Windows Update" site?
....Start button / All Programs / Windows Update...
or use this link...
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp

Scan for updates...select your choices...
download them.

There is a FinePix A101 WinXP USB
Driver that you can download from the
following site...maybe it will help:

Another possibility would be to purchase
a SmartMedia memory card reader.
