Hi
I have to double click programs twice to get them to start. Especially
icons on my desktop or toolbar in the bottom left corner. It's been
doing it for a couple of weeks. I am thinking it is virus/malware/
spyware etc. I am using AVG, NoAdware and Ad-Aware.
I am also having a problem with mouse and keyboard (posted on a
separate posting) but I don't know if there is a connection.
Any ideas?
hanks

This is the normal default operation of Windows.
Have you checked in the Control Panel - Folder Options - General to see if Single Click or Double
Click in the checked Option?
Of course you could have a defective mouse! if that is what you posted in another newsgroup.

Are the keyboard and mouse wireless? If yes change batteries.

Hope this helps.

I have to double click the mouse two times ( 4 in total). The first
double click sets the egg timer icon then just stops. The second
double click starts the program. (Sometimes the fisrt double click
will start the program after about 30 seconds)
It's a sp/2 keyboard and mouse. Not wireless
