What type of Internet service do you have, and how does it connect to
your network?
If you have a DSL or cable modem connected to the same switch as the
computers, you'll need to get two IP addresses from your Internet
service provider to let both computers access the Internet.
In that case, you could replace the switch with a broadband router.
That would let you share Internet access between both computers with
only one IP address from your Internet service provider.
