If there is a fatal error, WindowsXP will display a blue screen error
message and then automatically restart. The error message will
disappear quickly and many users do not see it or are not able to read
the error message.
To prevent the automatic restart on a fatal error (presumes English
language selected), select Start, Control Panel, System Control Panel,
Advanced tab, Startup and Recovery section Settings button, System
Failure section, uncheck the box Automatically Restart, check the box
Write an event to the system log. Click OK.
Now when the error occurs you will see the blue screen with the error
message. Copy the error message exactly as it appears and post it on
this newsgroup.
