Steve, Isaac and guys thanks for sending me to thunderbird, It's great and
was easy to set up , even with extra email addresses and signatures. Why
have I wasted many hours on windows mail. I can even make thunderbird act
like OE if I add a few codes but I will have to wait on that. I feel like I
on the road to recovery after being in a straight jacket for 4 weeks. No
thanks to HP or Microsoft.

Steve , I'm sorry I have been on this community site for so long, I have got
more advise from many people, that I got the names mixed up. I now can't
find the thread that advised me to try thunderbird. Anyway I'm very happy
with thunderbird and when microsoft get's it's act together and makes windows
mail more user friendly like outlook express I may go back. My computer with
vista is working much better without windows mail and I am too. Keep up your
good work as by the length and volume of threads about windows mail you have
lots to do.

It was probably me who advised you to try Thunderbird.
I don't care for Thunderbird's interface, but that's a personal thing.
I don't like to see non-technical people struggling with these
difficult WinMail problems when a perfectly good alternative
email program is readily available.

Being a technical person I enjoy the challenge of wrestling with
WinMail issues. One has to be somewhat masochistic, I suppose.

Gary , yes it was you and Isaac who were discussing it , I believe. And yes
you must want to suffer a little. I just did a post on thunderbird's forum
about importing my address book from my other machine that has xp. I hope
to do it as I hated the contacts on windows mail and Like OE. It wouldn't
let me import from the vista machine and said after I did so there was no
address book. Thanks again , I will finally enjoy this weekend.
