I have reason to believe I am dealing with a Trojan. My
computer alerted my to an infected file, but while trying
to find it, I discovered it's lack of existence. Now,
whenever I go to any website, it takes an extra minute,
underlines certain words as advertisements and bombards
me with the same pop-up every time I click. If I am
trying to save an internet file, it goes to another
website. I ran a different scan (McAffee) which alerted
me to three more nonexistant files. Any suggestions? I'd
like to remove the trojan ASAP.

I know that there is a site called MOOSOFT they make a
program called *THE CLEANER*. You may try there and
download the free (trial) one to see if it will find the
trojan. I had it once and it worked for me.

.

You need to find out what the server program of the virus
is before you can remove it. Once you know what it is
then you can go to task manager and end it then go into
your Windows folder and remove the file itself. You may
also need to go into the registry and delete it from
there.
