I have Movie Maker 5.0 but...

When I looked at the download site for a newer version, the download version
was 2.1. Do I have the latest version or is 2.1 the latest version

The latest version for WinXP is 2.1

To determine your version open Movie
Maker and go to...Help / About.

There is no version 5 of Movie Maker.

What you are seeing is your version of Windows.

If you look lower you will see your version of Movie Maker.

"Windows Movie Maker Version 2.1.4026.0"
