I have made a movie of my kids using my digital video
camera and have edited and saved it using Windows Movie
Maker 2. I want to save it onto DVD so I can send it in
the post to my family in the UK. (I live in New
Zealand). I have a LG GOLD 5 DVD Writer and can play
CD's and DVD films on it. I can also (apparently) copy
DVD's onto it.

There is an option in Movie Maker 2 to save it to CD but
nothing about DVD. When I click onto save as CD it says
that a CD device is not there. What can I do???-

You need some proper DVD Authoring software such as DVDLab - A free
evaluation version is available - search on google for it. MM2 cannot do
this, which is hardly surprising for free software...

You also need to convert your movie file into the correct DVD compliant
mpeg2 PAL format. Alternatively, you could convert to an SVCD compliant
mpeg2 and use Nero or Roxio to burn an SVCD disc, but that would have to be
on a CD-R, not a DVD-R.

For more information on this kind of thing, take a look at www.dvdrhelp.com
