I have low vision and write a lot of fiction for web publication. Normally I only use Word from Office 2000 for spell checking and grammar suggestions. The files I work with are all .txt. If I change the default font for Word it doesn't make a bit of difference. When I open a text file the font is always Courier New and the size is 10. Due to my impairment there is no way I can read the text and I have to select all, change the font, and the size for every file I open. It's annoying to say the least.
I've been able to set the font to verdana and size to 14 for opening a new document, but it is even more annoying to have to open the text file with Notpad (not notepad) copy the whole file and then paste it into the blank Word document.
Is there any way to change the font and size for existant .txt files opened with word?
Thanks
