I have lost My CD / DVD / RW drives

My computer only list my C: & A: drives, A week ago they were all there, now they are gone. I tried the system restore /
recovery it didn't work because it was turn off. I don't know how to manualy set the recovery to a later date before my CD / DVD / RW drives go lost.
