(complete novice here, I know, it sux for me too) I was online earlier, like
about 3 this afternoon, and noticed that my computer was running non-stop, so
I started digging around and noticed that I had some files on here that were
corrupt (I checked out several websites and matched a few that allowed remote
access) LONG story short (because I am just now sucking it up and asking for
help) My files started dumping right before my eyes, cookies, recent
docs...you name it...I finally realized that "they" had set up an alt owner
acct (home comp and I wasn't using a pass) and had it set up for rapid
switching. So after I set up a pass and tightened user options, I decide I
am going to take my own sweet time and "research' this to learn
something...well these 'people' are relentless and much more capable than I
because I was unable to get on the net for an hour (connection was fine) and
then I (swear) I was just looking through admin files and this little orange
bomb goes off dllhost.exe and craps like 185 files on me, and my computer
hasn't shut up since. I really just need someone to log on and look at it
please....

I highly recommend you disconnect the PC from the internet and/or your local
LAN immediately....

Then work through this check list to start with...
