I have audio but only a black screen

i took a movie off a cd i ahd burned its only 11 minutes long and its a cartoon i downloaded so i wanted to edit it but now when i import it and it comes up as one clip and when i play it it shows a black screen but i can hear it..

what should i do?
 
Does the movie play in Media Player? Sounds like you don't have the codec or
something
