Hi there, I just installed the new MS Beta SW and learned
I have tons of these things, "Windows Host Files", each
one with the following IP address but each with a
different www. designation, and I have heard of very few
of them--including some, shall we say, seemingly very
untrustworthy sites.:
"This is a valid local loopback address. A local loopback
address is a special Internet address, 127.0.0.1, defined
by the Internet Protocol. A host can use the local
loopback address to send messages to itself. This default
address is configured by Windows."
My first question is this: how do I disable them quickly?
Doing it one by one would take me literally days.
My second question is: why didn't the program identify
any spyware on my system in the genral scan? Because this
activity seems highly suspicious.
Generally, this freaks me out. Does anyone have any
experience with this?
Thanks, A.
