For some requirements, you may find it easier to invest in a
3rd-party solution, such as NetNanny or CyberPatrol.

You need to be aware, however, that *NO* technical or software
solution is fool-proof, and _none_ can ever adequately take the place of
live adult supervision. If you cannot trust your husband to
safely/properly use the computer without supervision, you may have to
consider limiting his access to it.

Hi,

You could activate and password the content advisor under Internet Options
in the Control Panel, but it's not that hard to defeat.

If he has a couple of favorite sites, you could alter the HOSTS file to
block access to them. This is a simple file under
C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc that can be opened in notepad, and you can
add lines to it that will have the affect of blocking the sites (what you're
really doing is redirecting the browser, but the effect is the same). Simply
add a line like this:

127.0.0.1 www.pornsite.com

Then close it saving the changes.

Nicci, the best probable answer you can get will be from your ISP
(Internet Service Provider). Call them and tell them that you want
to block your "kids" from accessing Porn sites and how to do it.
They will be glad to help you for not losing a valuable customer.
