I have a problem with my icons..

Hey!

My icons have a jagged grey edge around the image and the writing is stuck
in a grey rectangle. No longer does the writing appear transparent over my
wallpaper, but is within this rectangle and the edge of each icon image has a
grey jagged outline.

What can I do to fix this?

Gee, that doesn't sound so bad to me. It's sort of edgey - I like it.

Anyway, if you don't remember exactly what steps you took to cause that to
happen you won't be able to undo what you did. In that case, just restore
the Windows Classic theme and start customizing it as you like.

Getting to the theme is easy: Right-click on the desktop and select
Properties.
