I have a file on my desktop that I can not remove

this is the properties of the object on my desktop:

://C:\WINDOWS\System32\shdoclc.dll/http_404.htm

Can anyone tell me how to remove it?
 
If you are unable to delete this object in normal way. Try deleting this
object by running Windows in Safe Mode. Restart your PC and press F8 (after
POSt screen and before Starting Windows XP message) to bring up the Boot
Menu. Press Enter on Safe Mode.

Open Control Panel, double-click Display.
Click the Desktop tab, and choose "Customize Desktop".
Select the "Web" tab
Delete all the items except "My current Home page"
Uncheck "My current Home page"
Click OK, and now select (None) as your Desktop background
Click OK and close the dialog.

You could also try downloading a small applet called "KillBox" and have it
try to remove the file. If it can't, it will on your next reboot. A quick
google will give you a million places to download it.
