There was a huge amout of files (movies) i wanted to copy from my mate
computer, so i took the hard drive out of my comp and put it into a id
to usb case, i copyed all the stuff from my mates computer, but it al
froze off and i had to do a hard restart on his comp :O. It wasn
working so i put it back in my computer. Now windows wasnt booting up.
great, i chucked in my windows cd and run the recovery console, i did
ChkDsk and it worked fine. Now the computer works. But when i go t
were the files were saved, they are not there, but when i view My
drive from My Computer the files are CERTIANLY there because i am usin
99% of my 50Gb hard drive. So i have hidden files usin up 80% of my har
drive and i just want to get rid of them. They can not be found i
windows explorer and i trued a defrag that didnt do anything.

Is there some way to delete this crap? Caz my computer is almos
unuserable with 19Mb of storage left, even though i am only using lik
9Gb.

Thanks,
Mitc

You need to seize ownership of all folders on the affected
partition so that you can see what's where. Click Start / Help /
Search tab, then type ownership and read the relevant
instructions.

If, after making yourself the owner of all folders, you still
cannot figure out where you've hidden the big folders,
run one of these tools to get a profile of your hard disk:

DriveUse:

Bullet Proof Folder sizes: http://www.foldersizes.com/
