I hate "My Pictures"

I don't like, want, or use the "My Pictures" folder.
Never have, never will. The same is true for "My
Music", "My Downloads", etc.

I've been trying to permanently delete these folders for
the better part of a year, but the WinXP operating system
won't let me.

If anyone can tell me how this can be done, please, for
the sake of my sanity, email me
at "(e-mail address removed)".

This is purely speculation on my part, but shouldn't you be able to
redirect, with TweakUI, all of these folders to whatever your My Documents
folder may be? That way you don't end up with XP constantly recreating a
bunch of additional folders, since they're all pointing to something you're
already using...failing that, I'd try to point them to something like the
TEMP folder--out of sight, out of mind (I'm assuming you're not constantly
digging into your TEMP folder).

You're more than welcome to try to screw up your machine and report
back...I'm honestly curious. :-p
 
They are System Files, and will remain ... although if you RightClick on
them, select Properties, and select Hidden ... next time you open your
explorer they will be hidden, out of site - out of mind...
