Have an OEM version of RealPlayer Basic installed which I want to remove completely. Program Uninstall freezes, as does XP Remove Programs utility. Unable to delete files manually either - at least not completely. Tried re-installing program from CD with no result. No practical help from vendor. Would appreciate any suggestions

There is a free, or free trial program, called Add/Remove Plus , for downloa

I have not used it yet, (I have downloaded it, but have not opened it), but it may help remove files not removed by Windows.

"Try at your own risk", as they say.

Read the details before downloading, to make sure it is compatible with your system, and that it may do what you want t to.

You might read thru the other programs on that page, to see if there is anything else that may interest you, unrelated to this remove problem

Good luck.

Thanks for the suggestions - ended up using the free software download recommended by Mr. Fix-It. Did a great job. Also has a great registry cleaner which I took advantage of! Your help is appreciated
