Each time I start up Outlook 2003 running under Windows XP Professional, I
get the following message: "There is a problem reading one or more of your
reminders. Some reminders may not appear. cannot locate recurrence
information for this appointment." However, I don't get any reference
information to locate the problem and address the issue. Any
insights/experiences anyone? Thanks

Thanks, Russ - that did it! Much appreciated. Ivo

Try starting Outlook once with the /cleanreminders command line switch.
This switch (and a few other really helpful ones) are discussed here:
