I get an "Installing function" message

I recently reinstalled Office after a computer upgrade. Now, whenever I open
an Office application, I get a message "Installing [Outlook, Excel, Word]
function.
 
Office version is ???

If this is Office 2007, it is a common problem. I had it with a new
Dell and it was something to do with the Factory Fresh set-up, so
doing a System Restore to the built-in image did not fix it. I only
fixed it by completely reinstalling Vista from the supplied disk and
formatting the hard disk in the process.
