I Found How To Turn Off Avast Spam Sig

I don't use email from my newsreader or Web browser. I find if I use
only Yahoo email accounts, it adds a ton of protection from incoming
malware. Anyway, when I disabled the email via the Outlook/Exchange
it also disabled the spam sig. I also have P2P, Internet mail and
Instant Messaging disabled, since I don't use them.

Spam free at last! :o)

Hello Freda:

That's still a fairly obtuse way to turn something off that should have
been available to you as a pull down menu option, defaulted to off.

Maybe the Alwil folks will get the word.

Another problem you find with software, or any product from another
country, is that they depend on one or more of their own to translate
something into languages other than their own. I always run into this
problem with foreign software and other products. You can see if
immediately in the use of stilted language, which always brings a
certain amount of confusion to the customer. The really should hire
American writers to write the Help files meant for America.

That's not always true. Lots of software companies use people from the
native country to translate (i.e. to translate to norwegian they use
someone who lives in Norway). Avast has (at least the norwegian
translation) a very good translation (I use the english, but I often
install the norwegian for friends). And I think it is easy to use as
well (I have been watching this thread, but I can't see the problem, I
have no trouble finding these options, they are very obviously placed)

I must admit that Avast is better than most. One example of the
problems I spoke of is Acronis True Image. Many instructions in there
I have to guess what the true meaning is, despite them being in
English.
And I think it is easy to use as well (I have been watching this
thread, but I can't see the problem, I have no trouble finding these
options, they are very obviously placed)

Then I just must be a dummy, and so must a lot of others who never
answered my problem.
