I have APSC (All Purpose Spell Checker) freeware. Whereas the homepage
is defunct, there is a mention of foreign dictionaries. However, as to
where to go to get the dictionaries, I used the Wayback machine
http://web.archive.org/
and put in http://www.palware.com/apsc/ for the Web Address to look up
on the following screen select "Jun 04, 2001" and you have the homepage.
Just click on "dictionaries" and you have all the files for downloading:

British
Danish
French
German
Italian
Spanish

And there you have it!

Now, you *did* do this from within the Wayback machine, didn't you? I
just repeated the instructions, word for word, and it worked. Again.

Spam? Or do you mean "garbage". Sounds to me as if you/your browser
tried to open the *.vtd files instead of saving them. If so - then "on
screen garbage" is what you get - since said files are in binary
format. You should instead right click the file link and choose save
or save as.

All the best,
Bjorn Simonsen
