I found a reason why Beta 2 should NOT be a Public Beta: The Computer
Surgeon General's Warning: Do NOT Use the Windows Blue Energy Screen Saver,
It will Freeze (Lock Up) Your Computer, just FYI.

How do you know it's just not your crappy computer? Works fine here on all
my machines :os

I had exactly the same problem. Which color of blue (light blue, blue or
dark blue) are you using? I found that if you switched to a composite
blue/green color the problem disappeared, just FYI.
Frank
P.S. try it!

Is that really a reason it should not be a public beta? Haha, I still want it
weither the screen savers work or not. However, I will say thanks for the
warning.

I look foreward to the public beta. It will be my first good look at the new
operating system. "In the coming weeks...". Bummer.

So if I change my Desktop Back Ground to something other then the Default
Blue Color in both Client and Server Beta 2, the Problem will go Away,
Correct?

Update: I changed the Desktop Back Gound on Both Client and Server from the
Default Blue Color to the Bright Red Color, and the Problem seems to have
gone away, just FYI.

I am Also Having Some Very Big Size Problems with Running Windows Live
Messenger 8.0.689.0 Beta on Beta 2, just FYI.

P.S. According to other Newsgroup Poster's: These Messenger Problem's also
occur with the latest MSN Messenger 7.5 RTW (Release to Web) Release, also
just FYI.

Kevin;
You screamed, begged, demanded and more for weeks to get access to a current
Vista build.
Of course none of which had any effect.

I find it interesting now that you have Vista through MSDN Operating
Systems, you are searching for excuses to keep Vista from others.

Okay, well then, does the fact that Running Windows Live Messenger Beta
Build 8.00.689.00 on Beta 2 (both Client and Server) causes a DEP (Data
Execution Prevention) Error sound like a Serious Enough Error to You? To me
it does sound like a Very Serious Issue, considering the fact that there are
still a whole lot of Computer's that don't have 64-Bit Processor's with DEP
Protection, just FYI!

P.S. According to Other News Group Poster's: These Messenger Problem's
also affect The Latest RTW Release of MSN Messenger 7.5, also just FYI.

I don't care what stick I get from this - you're a dick Kevin, get a
freakin' life.

I read this crap from Kevin and I wonder how or why it is that every ng
I've ever logged onto has someone just like him who simply doesn't get it!
I'm shocked that they can even boot up a computer!
Life never ceases to amaze me.

No problem. I just won't use Messenger. Besides, that's what happens when you
use a beta messenger program on a beta operating system. That's just the
nature of using beta software. I still want vista, just FYI.

P.S. If you really need to chat, format your drive and reinstall xp, also
just FYI.

Beta 2 CPP, here I come! (just FYI)

In this day and age when all but very old monitors go in to energy saving
mode by themselves, why do people still insist on using lame screensavers?
Thank god for the good users on these forums that actually test and help
instead of whining and saying how the public shouldnt get a Vista trial over
every lame little problem they find.
